Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 along with its sibling Zenfone Max M2 have started receiving a new update and the Zenfone Max Pro M2 gets a touch firmware upgrades along with improvements to the front camera as well as display in the status bar. On the other hand, the Zenfone Max M2 get will get a Google Mobile Services (GMS) upgrade to the version 8.1_201810. Both the smartphones also receive Google Security Patches for the month of February 2019.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 features a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS display bearing a resolution of 2280×1080 pixel and is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU along with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage options. There is also a microSD card slot to extend the storage up to a maximum of 100GB via microSD card slot.
It comes with a 12MP with an aperture of f/1.8, and the secondary camera is a 5MP depth sensor while on the front we can find a 13MP camera for selfies along with a LED flash. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear and also supports face unlocking. The handset comes out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and will have a big 5000mAh battery on the back with 5V/2A, 10W fast charging.
The Zenfone Max M2 comes with a 6.3-inch frameless screen with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolutions and under the hood, there is a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. On the back, there is a 13MP main camera sensor along with LED flash and has a 2MP secondary camera. For selfies, Asus as also added an 8MP camera with a LED flash.
The device comes out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and provides Stock Android experience.
