Earlier this month, we have seen several leaks about the Zenfone 5 smartphones. The company has already confirmed to unveil them at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. Based on the leaks, the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone Max Pro M1 are said to come powered by the new Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform, whereas the Zenfone 5z will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform.

Now, a new smartphone from Asus with the model number Z01RD is spotted on Antutu. While there is no official confirmation, we expect this to be company’s 2018 flagship smartphone, Asus Zenfone 5z. The device sports an all-screen display with the iPhone X-like notch on the top. It offers unusual 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution, might be due to the notch. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUI out of the box.

Under the hood, the device comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. At the MWC 2018, we will also see Snapdragon 845 powered smartphones from Samsung and Sony. It comes with 6GB of RAM and a mere 32GB of onboard storage. We expect to see 64GB and 128GB storage variants along with a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.

The Zenfone 5v with Snapdragon 845 processor even scored 238129 on Antutu. For comparison, the Galaxy S9+ with the same Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB of RAM has scored 265627. The MWC 2018 is less than a week away and we expect to see more leaks in the coming days. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
