Asus Confirms its Presence at MWC 2018, Might Unveil Zenfone 5 Series on February 27th

Samsung already confirmed to launch the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones at this year’s MWC. In the coming days, we will be getting to know more details about new launches from other manufacturers. If the rumors are to believed, Xiaomi might come up with the updated Mi MIX 2S bezel-less smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC. Surprisingly, Asus now confirmed its presence at the upcoming MWC event.
The event will be held on February 27th at 7:30 pm CET, i.e., 12 am IST on February 28th. While the company hasn’t revealed any details about the smartphones that will be on the MWC show floor, the image on their website suggests the company to unveil the Zenfone 5 smartphones. Since the last year’s Zenfone 4 Pro came with Snapdragon 835 SoC, we might see the Zenfone 5 Pro with Snapdragon 845 SoC on 2018.
As seen earlier, there will also be a bunch of smartphones in the Zenfone 5 lineup. Apart from the latest Qualcomm processors, the device might offer the new 18:9 display technology and latest Android 8.0 Oreo-based in-house ZenUI. Almost all the smartphones under the Zenfone 4 series came with dual cameras, and the company might continue the same with the upcoming Zenfone 5 smartphones.
Recently, we also reported about the Zenfone 5 Max smartphone with the model number Asus X00QD getting Wi-Fi certification. The listing confirmed the device to run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac support. On the other hand, the Zenfone 5 Lite got certified in Russia with the model number Asus ZC600KL. It sports a 6-inch 18:9 display and an unknown Snapdragon processor.
