We have seen most of the brands announcing their latest flagship smartphones. HTC, LeEco, and Huawei will join this list very soon because they are already sent out the press invites for the launch events. Among all the top brands, OnePlus and Asus are the only brands which haven’t announced any details about their upcoming device. But thanks to RedDot21 for publishing the first renders of the upcoming ASUS devices. Unlike the Zenfone 2 & Zenfone 2 Deluxe, the upcoming Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with a different design.
Talking about the Zenfone 3, it sports a 2.5D glass on the front and back with a metal frame. Even though the company opted for the glossy body, we can still find the Asus iconic concentric circles design on bottom front and rear of Zenfone 3. It will be company’s first device to feature a fingerprint sensor. The rear camera is assisted with a dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus. From the images, we can also see a front facing LED flash placed on the top left above the display.
As rumors suggested, the device might feature the Snapdragon processor since there is no Intel logo marked anywhere. While the Zenfone 2 came with a power button placed on top and the volume rocker on the rear, but on Zenfone 3 they are placed on the right edge of the device. The device comes equipped with USB Type-C port for faster data transfer speeds nad fast charging. The device is said to come with smart flipcover that shows notifications in all new way.
Unlike the Glossy body of Zenfone 3, this device comes with an all metal body. It also has a physical home button with capacitive buttons on each side. We also expect the home button to come integrated with a fingerprint sensor. From the image, we can also find the selfie flash as seen on the Zenfone 3. The power button is placed right edge of the device, and the volume rockers might be placed on the rear.
It also follows the Zenfone 3 by featuring the concentric design. As seen with the earlier launched Zenfone 2 Deluxe, the upcoming Zenfone 3 Deluxe can sport large storage capacities. The devices are expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI laid on top. Both the devices can be expected to launch at the Computex Taipei that will be held in May 2016. Stay tuned for more details on the coming days.
