Asus competes with the leading smartphone manufacturers by launching new devices at regular intervals. We have seen Asus Zenfone Selfie, which was a decent phone from Asus, and later it released Asus Zenfone 2 Laser into the market which has been a success. Like all other Android devices, this phone also seems to have few performance issues after using for few months.
But, nevertheless, we can easily manage few settings to improve the performance level of the Asus Zen 2 Laser phone. So, sit back and read few tips which we discuss below and follow them to enhance your device performance.
Using Latest Software Update
First of all, try to get the latest software update on your device and get upgraded. The manufacturer will release few OTA’s for its devices which help to improve the device performance by fixing any minor bugs. So, go and check for the latest updates in your device, under the ‘About Phone’ option in the settings. You can see the software update notification over there and so simply download and install the update.
With this update, you can see the difference in the performance of your phone, and if you feel that the phone is still lagging then move on to the below tips.
Use Factory Reset method
You can make your device perform faster by using factory reset. To perform this task, you need to turn off your device and should get your phone into recovery mode. Try to follow the device manual to enter into recovery mode. (Usually done by pressing Volume Up and Power button simultaneously at the same time)
Once the phone is in recovery mode, use volume buttons to scroll and power button to confirm the selection. Now, select and confirm the ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and wait for some time. After the completion of the process, select and confirm ‘Reboot system now’, and your device will be a brand new with improvement performance. But, do remember to take the backup of data as this process will erase everything from your phone.
Clear Cache and Wipe Cache Partition
Now, try to clear off all the cache from the apps stored on your device. Every app you use will store cache in its background and will indirectly affect the device’s performance. So, open each app in the app manager and tap on the clear cache to remove it.
Also, try to wipe cache partition from the recovery mode. Turn off your device and get into recovery mode as explained in the above method. Now, select and confirm the ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ and also ‘Reboot System Now.’ That’s all, entire cache from your device will get cleared, and the performance level of your device will increase.
Uninstall Bloatware and Pre-installed Apps
Every smartphone will have few pre-installed apps and some bloatware apps which causes battery drain and low-performance issues. So, find out such apps in your device and uninstall them for better performance of the phone. Also, do not ever install the unnecessary apps, as they always occupy space in your memory and at the same time few of them will be responsible for the low-performance.
Enable Developer Options
‘Developer Options’ will give you extra options which in turn helps to optimize the level of performance of the device. So, enable those options by tapping several times on the ‘Build number’ option in ‘About Phone>Software Information’ under settings. Now, tap back to the settings and you can find the ‘Developer Options’ enabled. Try those options which help you to increase the performance level of the device.
Few other Tips
There are few more additional settings other than the above which contributes to improving the device performance. Make sure to use the original chargers for charging the battery and always turn off the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity when not in use. Do not overload the phone by multi-tasking as it may hang the device for some time.
