Asus has been quite confusing when coming to the device names, till the company had launched several under the new Zenfone 2 series. Today a new device dubbed as Zenfone 2 Laser 6 with model number ZE601KL is officially launched in the Indian market. The device is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will be available to purchase from Amazon and Snapdeal along with Flipkart starting from today midnight. While the offline sales of the device will begin from the second week of December.
It features a large 6-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top of it. Under the hood, it comes with 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor while the earlier launched variants of Zenfone 2 Laser came with Snapdragon 410 SoC & Snapdragon 615 SoC. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot.
The device is backed by a 3,000mAh Li-polymer removable battery. It has a 13MP rear camera with Laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and dual tone LED flash. According to the company, the rear camera with the laser focus can focus the object in just 0.03 seconds. On the front, it sports a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calls.
It has a dual stereo speakers placed on the bottom rear of the device. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE support on both the SIM’s. It will be available in Red, Silver, and Gold colors. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based ZenUI 2.0 overlaid. Earlier to this the company had launched three variants of Zenfone 2 Laser with 5.5-inch screen size in India that are priced ranging from Rs. 9,999 to Rs. 16,999.
