Asus first entered into smartwatch market with its ZenWatch, which was introduced during IFA trade show in Berlin last year, which then was launched in several countries afterwards. That was the first Android Wear product from the Taiwanese company. But now the company is moving on in this business with another smartwatch, its called VivoWatch.
Though, this new smartwatch is focused to track your fitness activities, giving insight to your health. The watch is also capable to track your sleep activities, as well as various workouts. And ultimately it is water, and dust proof watch with an IP67 certified rating. So, that you could wear it while showering as well as don’t worry about if you are the adventurer and likes to hang out in the wild.
Moreover, you don’t either have to worry about the battery life because according to the reports company is claiming that the battery life of its new smartwatch could easily last up to 10 days. The functionality details about the device are still scant, so it is unknown if it will connect with a smartphone or not.
There are no mentions of the Bluetooth support for the watch. If the battery rating is any true, then it will directly compete against the recently announced Pebble Time, which has already surpassed its goal of Kickstarter campaign. It would be interesting to see how this VivoWatch from Asus performs in the real world once it’s launched.
