ASUS Teases Zenfone 6 Flagship Smartphone with No Bezel & No Notch

From the beginning of this year, ASUS has been teasing the all-new Zenfone 6 series. As announced earlier, the company will be unveiling its 2019 flagship smartphones on May 16th in Valencia, Spain. The company is rumored to launch the Zenfone 6 and Zenfone 6z smartphones. We have already seen a few leaks about the Zenfone 6Z smartphone. Also, both the Zenfone 6 smartphones might come with the same design. The Zenfone 6Z comes with the model number ASUS_I01WD and got listed on the Antutu benchmarking website.

Now, the company has posted a new teaser image revealing the complete bezel-less display with no notch or bezels. While the leaks suggested the device to come with slider design, we expect it to sport a pop-up camera. Even the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro is also confirmed to launch with the pop-up selfie camera. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed anything else about its upcoming flagship smartphone. While FCC listing hinted the device to sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, the device might actually come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Antutu listing revealed the Zenfone 6Z to come with a Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) display. Under the hood, the device will come powered by the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. It even scored 363,172 on Antutu, which is slightly lower than the other Snapdragon 855-powered smartphones. On the rear, the Zenfone 6Z sports triple camera setup featuring 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. The company is also rumored to offer 48MP camera on the front of the device.

As of now, the highest resolution camera we have seen on the front is 32 megapixel. The device runs on the Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with the custom Zen UI skin laid on top. While the Zenfone 6Z comes with the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset, the Zenfone 6 might sport a mid-range Snapdragon 700 series chipset. Even last year, ASUS launched the Zenfone 6 and Zenfne 6Z smartphones with Snapdragon 636 and Snapdragon 845 chipsets respectively.
