ASUS will soon launch the 2019 flagship smartphone under the Zenfone 6 series. Lately, we are seeing several leaks about the Zenfone 6Z smartphone. Today, a new ASUS smartphone with the model “ASUS_I01WD” was spotted on Antutu. Since the device comes with flagship hardware, it is expected to be launched as Zenfone 6Z. The company has already confirmed to unveil the new Zenfone 6 smartphones on May 16th in Valencia, Spain.

The device should be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. As seen with the last year’s Zenfone 5Z, the upcoming Zenfone 6Z might also come with the Zen UI skin on top. While the screen size of the device is unknown, it offers 2340 by 1080 pixels resolution. The device packs 6GB of RAM and is mentioned to come in 64GB and 128GB storage options. In terms of optics, the company will be using the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor as the primary sensor for its rear camera setup.

Interestingly, the company also opted for a 48MP sensor for the front-facing camera on the Zenfone 6Z. However, there is no confirmation about the presence of Sony IMX586 sensor on the front. As of now, the front-facing cameras on the smartphones are coming with up to 32MP resolution. Unlike the other global brands, the flagship smartphones from ASUS comes with an aggressive price tag.

Last year’s, Zenfone 5Z is the most affordable Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone during its launch time. As of now, we don’t have any other information about the upcoming flagship smartphone from ASUS. The listing also revealed the Antutu score as 363,172 for the Zenfone 6Z. Based on the leaks, the device will come with a notch-less display. We expect it to offer in-display camera instead of a pop-up selfie camera. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
