ASUS Announces ZenFone 6 Edition 30 with 12GB RAM and 512GB Storage

Earlier this month, ASUS launched the Zenfone 6 flagship smartphone in the European markets. At the Computex 2019, we expected the company to come up with the rumored Zenfone 6Z smartphone. However, the company has officially announced the special edition smartphone called ZenFone 6 Edition 30. According to the company, only 3,000 units will be made available globally. While the standard Zenfone 6 comes with 24 months of warranty, the special edition device comes with 30 months of warranty.

Also, the special edition device comes with the iconic concentric circle design which we have seen on earlier launched flagships from ASUS. It will be available only in Matte Black color and comes packed with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 2TB. The other specifications remain same as on the regular Zenfone 6. It sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Without any bezels or notch, the display on this device offers 92% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. Coming to the cameras, the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 comes with just two sensors on the rear. The company is calling this setup as Flip Camera. It sports 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 125-degree field-of-view. The same dual camera setup can be flipped to the front for capturing selfies. With the DxO Mark selfie score of 98, the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is rated as the best smartphone for selfies.

It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Zen UI skin on top. The Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. Instead of the in-display fingerprint scanner, the Zenfone 6 sticks with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. As of now, the company has announced the pricing or the exact availability date of the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 smartphone.
