Apple iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus Pre-Orders Begin from September 29th in India

The latest Apple iPhones – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are already available in most of the Western countries and few Asian countries. While in India, both the devices will be launched on October 7th, the same day Samsung also relaunches the Galaxy Note 7 in the country. Earlier this month, India’s largest online store Flipkart became the authorized reseller for Apple products. Until last year, Infibeam is the only Apple authorized online store in India to sell iPhones.

Today Flipkart announced that both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available for pre-orders starting September 29th midnight. The devices will be shipped only after the formal launch on October 7th. This new iPhone comes with several upgrades; mainly there is no 3.5mm audio port. Apple also replaced the physical home button with a capacitive button. Both the devices are IP67 certified, which means they are splash and water resistant.

Both the devices are powered by 64-bit quad core Apple A10 Fusion chipset. The iPhone 7 comes with 2GB of RAM while the iPhone 7 Plus includes 3GB of RAM. The iPhone 7 Plus also come with dual 12MP cameras on the rear where one sensor captures in RGB mode and the other sensor is limited to monochrome mode. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 comes with a single 12MP sensor. Unlike iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S devices, this year, both the iPhones comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The Apple Watch Series 2 and the new AirPods will be also launched alongside the iPhones. The new Apple Watch costs Rs. 32,900 and whereas the AirPods will be priced at Rs. 15,400. There is also a ceramic Apple Watch Series 2 Edition which costs whopping Rs. 1,10,900. The earlier launched iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus will now come with 32GB of internal storage instead of just 16GB. The pricing of the 32GB variants of older iPhones can be expected at the October 7th event.
