Airtel India announces International Roaming Plans to USA, UK, UAE, Singapore & Thailand

India’s leading telecommunications web site, Airtel has today launched its new Postpaid Smart Packs for international roaming. With the new Airtel Smart Packs, the customers do not have to worry about bill shocks who love traveling to popular international destinations. The Smart Packs offers free incoming calls and provides upto 200% more data benefits making sure you are always connected to your loved ones where ever you go. Check out the Smart Packs best suited for you:

Airtel Postpaid Smart Packs

The customers can activate the Smart Packs through the Airtel website, myAirtel app, USSD and Customer Contact Centers. The users can activate them at any time and will only be charged when they use them. Unlike the Prepaid users, the Smart Packs are limited to the users traveling to USA, UK, UAE, Singapore & Thailand.  These plans can be activated to a maximum of 180 days in advance and any unutilised benefit for the expired billing cycle would not be carried forward to the next billing cycle.

Do make a note that Airtel has already been offering similar plans for the Pre-Paid users but the costs are abruptly on the higher side. We did a quick analysis to compare the both and found that the Prepaid Airtel users still have to spend a lot of money on receiving or making calls. The only benefit the prepaid users have is the risk-free calling, where in case the balance goes to zero, they do not have to worry. In the case of Postpaid, there are chances you could cross your limits threshold and end up getting a much larger bill.
