7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 Mobile Platform with 5G Support Leaked

Qualcomm recently launched the 8nm Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platforms alongside the 10nm Snapdragon 665 Mobile Platform. The Snapdragon 730G is the same Snapdragon 730 but comes with overclocked GPU and support for Quad HD+ display. It is mentioned to be specially designed for the gaming-centric smartphones. Now a new Snapdragon 700-series chipset got leaked online with complete details.

As seen with the flagship Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, the newly leaked Snapdragon 735 will also be built on 7nm FinFET node. The Kryo 400-series CPU packs 1x prime core clocked at 2.9GHz, 1x performance core clocked at 2.4GHz, and 6x efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Even the Snapdragon 855 came with similar cores in a different configuration. It also comes with the all-new Adreno 620 GPU which should handle most of the games with ease.

It includes the high-end Spectra 350 ISP but lacks the triple camera setup. It supports up to 20MP dual camera setup or up to 32MP single camera. Just like the Snapdragon 730G, the Snapdragon 735 also supports up to Quad HD+ (3360 x 1440 pixels) resolution with 60 FPS and HDR10/10+ playback. The Snapdragon 735 also supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 flash storage. It is also mentioned to feature NPU220 clocked at up to 1GHz for doing AI-related tasks.

With the Snapdragon modem supporting sub 6GHz band, the Snapdragon 735 can be seen inside the upcoming mid-range 5G smartphones. Take these details with a pinch of salt until we got some sort of official confirmation. Samsung recently launched Galaxy A80 with the new Infinity display and rotating triple camera setup. It is also the first smartphone to come powered by the Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform and Adreno 618 GPU.

It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie based One UI out of the box and sports 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The company recently announced these three new chipsets in China during the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence (AI) open day in Shenzhen. As of now, there is no information over the exact launch date for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 Mobile Platform. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
