Last week, Xiaomi teased about the launch of its upcoming Mi Notebook Air weighing just 1.07kg. Today, the company has officially launched the all-new Mi Notebook Air (2019) in China. The new Mi Notebook Air comes with a 12.5-inch display and the design looks very much similar to the older Mi Notebook Air. However, the new 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air misses out the HDMI port on the left side.
While the last-gen Mi Notebook Air was launched in 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch variants, the 2019 variant comes only with 12.5-inch screen size. The laptop comes with full metal body design and is powered by the 8th-gen Intel chipsets. The Mi Notebook Air powered by Intel M3 processor packs 4GB of RAM and comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options. There is also higher end variant powered by Intel i5 processor with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Mi Notebook Air (2019) will be available in gold and silver color options. It measures 292 x 202 x 12.9 mm and feels lightweight by weighing just 1.07kg. Talking about the 12.5-inch display, it comes with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 5.71mm thin bezels. It sports full-size backlit keyboard and a large multi-touch trackpad. In terms of audio, the Mi Notebook Air features dual speaker setup from Harman and supports DTS sound.
The laptop also supports fast charging with which it can be charged from 0% to 50% in just 35 minutes. The I/O capabilities of the laptop includes one USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio port. Talking about the pricing, the Intel M3-powered Mi Notebook Air (2019) with 128GB and 256GB of storage is priced at CNY 3599 (approx USD 535 / INR 37,000) and CNY 3999 (approx USD 595 / INR 41,000).
The higher-end variant with Intel i5 processor will be costing CNY 4299 (approx USD 640 / INR 44,000). It will be on sale starting March 28th in China and there is no information about the global availability. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
