Gionee to Launch M6 & M6 Plus Smartphones in India on August 9th

Yesterday Gionee had officially launched its two latest smartphones Gionee M6 & M6 Plus in China. Both the M6 & M6 Plus will replace 2015 launched M5 & M5 Plus, which are known for their huge battery capacities. Today the company has confirmed to launch their both the device in India on August 9th. The devices come with an all metal body and runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest Amigo 3.5 UI on top. Though the devices come in different sizes, the design looks similar apart from the sensors placement on the front.

The Gionee M6 sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution while the M6 Plus sports a slightly larger 6-inch display with the same resolution. Under the hood, both the devices include 2GHz Helio P10 octa-core processor and also features a dedicated security chip that offers hardware level encryption. The devices include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded with the MicroSD card slot.

There are also 128GB storage variants of both M6 & M6 Plus. On the camera front, there is a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies on Gionee M6 Plus. Though the M5 packs the same 8MP front camera, on the rear is a 13MP camera with f.2.0 aperture. Talking about their USP, the M6 is backed by  5,000mAh non-removable battery, while the 6-inch M6 Plus sports a slightly bigger battery with 6,020mAh capacity.

With such a huge batteries, the device also comes with fast charging; the M6 is accompanied with a 9V/2A power adapter while the M6 Plus come with a 12v/2A power adapter. The oval shaped physical home button on the front also houses the fingerprint sensor. With the fingerprint sensor, the users can able to use the virtual payments. Both the device offers dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity with VoLTE support.

Talking about the pricing in China, the Gionee M6 with 64GB storage is priced at 2699 Yuan while the 128GB variant costs 2899 Yuan. On the other hand, the M6 Plus with 64GB and 128GB storage are priced at 2999 Yuan and 3199 Yuan respectively. In China, the Gionee M6 will be available starting from August 6th and the M6 Plus from August 13th.
