Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, invariably sets the bench for new technologies. The company already has the world’s slimmest smartphone under its belt, the Vivo X5 Max. Now, the company is apparently working on a smartphone with a transparent display. Recently the company also became the fifth largest smartphone brand climbing over Lenovo (including Motorola) and Xiaomi. The news came from a Chinese site showing a gif image of the smartphone for capturing images.
Last year, there are rumors that ZUK is about to launch the similar kind of device, but there is no info regarding the same till date. There is a black rim protruding around the display with the edges of the rim being rounded on the corners. More than metal, the material looks like plastic. A unique part of this screen is that it can be accessible from the rear side as well.As per the source, the display is completely transparent and hands surrounding the device are clearly visible from the front side.
However, there are no words regarding the screen size. If the rumors are said to be believed, the smartphone might ship with 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 820 chipset. Also, there is 128GB, which serves as the internal storage. There is no place for the battery and the company needs to come with a new technology for making this reality. The phone is said to feature the bone conduction technology which allows listening to the sound through the vibrations occurred in your face.
Since none of the images are official, we can’t confirm the authenticity of the device. Recently, Samsung also showcased the foldable display at the SID Display Week held last month. In case, if the device comes out true, we do not expect the device to be available for public anytime soon. Will Vivo be able to deliver the world’s first transparent display phone?
