OnePlus has just recently announced the new Midnight black variant of the OnePlus 3T smartphone globally. We got our hands on the Colette Edition of the smartphone and you check out the device in all it’s glory here in this article. Now moving on, we now have some new rumors that give us very interesting details about the company’s upcoming smartphone. Yes, you guessed it right, we are talking about the OnePlus 5 here. According to the new reports which we have, it looks like OnePlus is going to push beyond the limits for the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

If the new rumors are something to go by, the new OnePlus 5 smartphone will come equipped with all the top of the line specs that are available in the market as of today. However, talking about pushing beyond the limits, it looks like we will be seeing a whopping 8GB of RAM in the OnePlus 5. Unless you were living under a rock, you already know that the OnePlus 3 was one of the first smartphones to come equipped with 6GB of RAM and it looks like the company wants to keep pushing the limits and be the first one to implement something insane like having 8GB of RAM inside a smartphone.

Apart from having twice the amount of RAM found in today’s flagship, the OnePlus 5 is also rumored to come with the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC inside which is the one which is powering the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus as well. Also, OnePlus wants to be a part of the cool guys league and add Dual rear camera setup at the back as well. This will be the first for the company and we just hope that they end up implementing it properly and mess it up like some manufacturers have done.

Now coming to the design side of things, the OnePlus 5 will have reduced bezels on the front as well. Even the display will get a resolution bump and we might see the first QHD display from OnePlus. Yes, we know how excited you are after reading all these specs and the hardware changes. But don’t get your hopes high just yet since the smartphone is expected to arrive only in the second half of the year. And since we are hoping to see a major upgrade in terms of the hardware inside as well as outside, the pricing is also expected to go higher.

Having said that, we would like to know what do you think about the OnePlus 5 smartphone? Would you be interested in buying this if the prices go high? Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment down below and also stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info like this.
