Microsoft Corporation had earlier launched two new smartphones that are Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL running on windows 10 Operating system. The brand has launched a new application called Arrow Launcher for the Android users to get a better experience on Android. The design of the application is slightly based on the Windows OS with few additional features on it.
Microsoft had unveiled its Windows 10 OS in July this year, and Arrow Launcher was also released in private beta. The users with an invite link could download the launcher by joining the Arrow Launcher Beta group on Google+ or download the APK file to give it a try. After running this in the closed beta program for about three months, Microsoft has now officially released the Arrow Launcher for Android on the Google Play Store.
The application is designed with the most simplified features where the users can get a better experience using this additional launcher on their devices. When you launch this app on your device, you will find three windows/pages on your home screen, i.e., Apps, Recent, and People. There is quick notification panel in the bottom line with a few basic applications and tools on it. We can customize the home screen by tapping on the edit page options to show the pages like Widgets, Notes & Reminders on the screen. The app drawer is divided into two columns; i.e., Apps and widgets. In the apps column, the apps are arranged in the alphabetical order as seen earlier on any Windows device.
The most significant and important key features of this applications are
- Time saving: No more wasting time finding the app you need as the system will automatically arrange the apps based on your usage.
- People(Contacts): The frequently used contacts will be automatically displayed on the top.
- Quick Reminders: Never forget to pick up milk or call your spouse with integrated reminder.
- Recent: You can quickly get back to your recent apps, file downloads, dropped calls in the recent window on the home screen.
