Lenovo Vibe X3 Powered by Snapdragon 808 to Launch in India on Jan 27

Update – The Lenovo Vibe X3 is the mid-range smartphone that was first launched in China in November 2015, and now the company is all set to launch this device in India on January 27th. While the company had launched the three variants of Vibe X3 in China, the Vibe X3 Lite (a.k.a Vibe X3 Youth) is the same device that launched recently in India as Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, but with added NFC and increased RAM & internal storage.

The Motorola designed smartphone come with better specifications and premium build quality when compared to the Vibe K4 Note. In China, it is launched in two variants with 32GB and 64GB storage options, where they are priced at 2499 Yuan (approx $380 Rs. 25,800) and 2999 Yuan (approx $455 / Rs. 31,000) respectively. Earlier: Nov 16, 2015 – Lenovo has officially launched the Vibe X3 smartphone today in China, it comes in three different variants. This is the first ever Lenovo smartphone to be designed by the Motorola; we can also find few similarities in design between Vibe X3 and the earlier launched Moto X smartphone. The Vibe X3 is the successor for the 2014 launched Vibe X2 that came with layer kind of design. As seen in the teaser images, the device comes with high-end audio features including three Texas Instruments OPA1612 Amplifier, Sabre 9018C2M DAC and finally Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec that handles all the three mics equipped within the device. While the Vibe X3 comes two variants with differences in storage, the Vibe X3 Lite comes with a cut down specification and few design changes.

Talking about the Vibe X3, it comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with a metallic frame with a plastic back cover. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM. It will be available in two variants with 32GB and 64GB as storage options, and there is also an option for expanding the storage.

The device comes with dual SIM dual standby support with the help of hybrid SIM slot where you can replace the second SIM with a MicroSD card. On the camera front, it has a 21MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual tone LED flash and PDAF fast autofocus, and on the front, it comes with an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI laid on top of it.

It has a dual front facing stereo quality Hi-Fi speakers and also offers Dolby Atmos surround sound technology. The device supports 4G LTE with VoLTE and includes other connectivity options like NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. The IR Blaster on this device can control Televisions, AC, and other electronics directly with the mobile.

Lenovo Vibe X3 VR

The 3,600mAh battery on this device can give 33 hours of talk time and lasts up to 560 hours on standby. It also has a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device that can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds, the Qualcomm Pay comes integrated with the device for mobile payments.

The 32GB storage variant is priced at 2499 Yuan (approx $392 Rs. 25,900) while the 64GB storage variant comes with a price tag of 2999 Yuan (approx $470 / Rs. 31,000). The interested users can register for the sale starting from today to November 24th, and the sale will take place on November 25th.

The third variant of the Vibe X3 series is the Vibe X3 Lite that comes with the same 5.5-inch Full HD display as the other two variants, but it is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The RAM on this Lite Variant is limited to 2GB and storage to 16GB but includes the MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.

It has a 13MP rear camera with no PDAF auto focus and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The battery capacity is also slightly decreased to 3,400mAh while all the other specifications remain same as on the other two variants. It is priced at 1899 Yuan (approx $298 / Rs. 19,500) while the availability of the device hasn’t mentioned yet.

As of now there is information regarding the availability of the device in the international markets, but as seen with earlier Vibe series device we can expect them at least in few selected markets including India.
