LeEco LEX622 Smartphone with Helio X20 SoC & 4GB RAM Listed on TENAA

Earlier today, we have reported about the new flagship LeEco smartphone with the model number LEX920. While the device is yet to get TENAA certified, now a new mid-range device is listed on the Chinese certification website. The LEX622 comes with the same design as the Le 2 (a.k.a Le S3 in the U.S) which was launched in India and China and even includes similar specifications. Unlike the Le 2, this new variant comes in Rose Gold color option. It has a metal body with a protruding camera on the rear. The fingerprint sensor can be found right below the rear camera.

It sports a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Unlike the Le 2 or the Le S3 which came with Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, the new LEX622 comes powered by MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. It includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As seen with the other LeEco smartphones, there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion on this device as well. Almost a year after launching the Le 2, this device still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on EUI.

It is a dual SIM dual standby device and supports both FDD and TD LTE bands. The device includes a 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front camera. The listing also mentions the rear camera to support video recording in 4K resolution. It lacks the 3.5mm audio port, but the single USB Type-C port can be used for both charging and connecting the provided CDLA earphones. The package also includes a 3.5mm to USB Type-C converter, with which the user can also use the regular earphones with 3.5mm pin.

The device is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that can give a decent battery life. Since it comes with a MediaTek chipset, it lacks the Quick Charge 3.0 support as on the Le 2 or the Le S3 devices.
