In the last few weeks, we have seen few rumors about the 7-inch tablet from HTC, and now it is listed on GeekBench leaking out few key specifications. The tablet named as Desire T7 comes with the model number IV5001-A and will be first ever tablet under the Desire series. It sports a 6.9-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. The tablet is also passed through Zauba suggesting the price to be around Rs. 15,000.
Talking about the specifications, the Desire T7 comes with a Spreadtrum SC8830 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It is supported by a Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage, and there is no information regarding the presence of MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC’s Sense UI overlaid. On the camera part, it has a 5MP camera on the front and rear with 1080p recording capabilities, where the rear camera is accompanied by an LED flash.
The tablet doesn’t have SIM card leaving the Wi-Fi as the single option for internet connectivity. Connectivity options include NFC, GPS, Bluetooth along with Wi-Fi. There are no other specifications mentioned about the device; we can expect the detailed information in the coming days. We can expect the launch to happen at the MWC 2016 that will be held in February in Barcelona.
If the rumors are to be believed, the company will also unveil the HTC One M10, the successor for the flagship HTC One M9 that was launched last year. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and comes with water and dust resistant capabilities. Unlike the Desire T7 tablet, the One M10 will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Stay tuned for more updates!
