HTC is all set to launch its HTC Bolt (Evo) on November 11th, and we can expect the company to unveil its Desire 540 (codename as A17). LlabTooFer who is a famous firmware developer has tweeted that “New HTC Desire phone is on track…Code-named is A17…It’s going to run Android 6.0.1 and Sense 8.0. It might be released with HTC Acadia.. .”

The HTC Desire 540 is going to be the successor to HTC Desire 530 which was codenamed as A16, which is a clear indication of the new device. Nothing is known about the specifications of this A17, but we can expect few similarities with its sibling. The HTC Desire 530 came with 5-inch 720p display and was powered by a 1.1GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 210 SoC coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU.

To power the device there was a 2200 mAh battery, and there was an 8MP camera on the rear and 5MP on the front. On the other hand, the Evo will come with a design similar to HTC 10 and is expected to come with 5.5-inch 1080p display and will be powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. This device will be unveiled on November 11th in the US via Sprint carrier.

Well, we need to wait till the device is unveiled officially on the 11th of November and we will know more about the same. It is just expected HTC to unveil this device along with HTC Bolt, but there is no official confirmation yet. It will probably launch in between $150 to $200 and will be competing against other budget range devices in the similar range. Recently HTC has released devices like HTC 11, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, HTC 10 Evo, HTC Desire 10 Pro and few more.

HTC has lost its reputation in the recent few years that it had initially, and it will be striving hard to compete against other companies like Samsung, LG, Sony and few more upcoming smartphone makers.
