With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch, Apple has increased the screen size from 4-inches to 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches respectively. The last years iPhones also came with same screen sizes as their predecessors. But now in March, Apple has unveiled a new 4-inch iPhone called as Apple iPhone SE that brings the iPhone 6S features packed into an iPhone 5S form factor.

As rumors suggested, the iPhone SE comes with rounded edges in. The device features a 4-inch Retina display without 3D Touch and is powered by Apple A9 processor and M9 motion coprocessor. The iPhone SE is three times powerful than the iPhone 5S and same as iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. It has the same 12MP iSight camera as on the iPhone 6S that record videos in 4K resolution and can capture Live Photos too.

On the front is a 1.2MP FaceTime Camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls. The Touch ID fingerprint sensor is embedded into the physical home button. The iPhone SE runs on iOS 9.3 and supports Apple Pay for virtual payments. It measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm and weighs just 113 grams. The battery on this device is rated to deliver 14 hours of talk time and lasts upto 10 days on standby.

It comes in two variants with 16GB and 64GB storage and will be available in Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The 16GB iPhone SE is priced at $399 while 64GB iPhone SE costs $499. The pre-orders starts from March 24th while the actual sales start from March 31st. By the end of may, the Apple iPhone SE will be available in 100 countries including India.

Update: Apple has sent an updated Press Release informing the following to us, referring that the earlier Press Release has to be ignored. iPhone SE will be available in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold metallic finishes in 16GB and 64GB models starting at MRP INR 39,000 from Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers. This is a very interesting case because it’s something that has happened for the first time and now clearly the Phone is priced at approximately $589 instead of the $399 which is the US Price. Would you still buy this Phone in India at this price? Let us know in the comments section below.
