360 F4 with 13MP PDAF Camera & Metal Body Launched, Price Starts from 599 Yuan

Qihoo 360, the maker of popular 360 Security app has launched a new smartphone called ‘360 f4.’ While the earlier launched smartphones came with QiKU branding, starting with the 360 f4 the brand name has been changed from QiKU to 360. Earlier LeTV has been renamed to LeEco considering their globalization of the company. Unlike the earlier launched three smartphones including the Q Terra that was also launched in India, the 360 f4 comes with somewhat less powerful specifications.

The 360 f4 will be the first smartphone under the new F-series and comes with an all metal body with the curved edges that offer nice grip to hold on to the device. It comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by MediaTek MT6753 quad-core processor. It comes in two variants with 2GB & 3GB of RAM, where the 2GB variant comes with 16GB of storage while the 3GB variant includes 32GB of storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB.

As seen in the rumors, there are no dual cameras on rear and front devices. It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF for quick focusing and on the front is a 5MP sensor with same f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and video calls. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby support and offers 4G LTE with VoLTE. It runs on the customized 360 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is backed by a 2,500mAh non-removable battery that might not last for more than a day of mixed usage.

The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear can unlock in just 0.4 seconds and can be used to make phone calls & capturing images al0ng with unlocking the device. It measures 4.86 mm thickness at its edges and feels light by weighing just 128 grams. The device will be available in White, Black, Gold, Pink and Blue color options. Talking about the pricing, the 2GB variant is priced at 599 Yuan (approx $92 / Rs. 6,150) while the 3GB variant costs 799 Yuan (approx $123 / Rs. 8,200). The devices will be available for registration starting from today while the sales start from March 25th.
