Alcatel Pixi Theatre Smartphone announced with 6” Display & 2580 mAh Battery

Alcatel Pixi Theatre is a new device from Alcatel that has been listed on the company’s official page. The new device will be added to the famous Pixi series from Alcatel and will be available via Cricket wireless carrier. Nothing about the pricing and availability has been mentioned yet. The device comes with a tag line of “The Perfect Amount of Phab” which says that the device is a perfect blend of smartphone and tablet with its 6-inch screen.

Alcatel has recently launched the devices like Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power, Alcatel Pop 4 6.0 4G, Alcatel Fierce 4 and the famous device being the Alcatel Pop Star and Alcatel One touch Idol 3. The company has also released a wide range of tables for business and other purposes. This French global telecommunication company is a part of Nokia and operates in more than 130 countries across the globe.

The Alcatel Pixi Theatre will come with a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with HD (1290 x 720 pixels) resolution giving a pixel density of 245 PPI and it is protected with Dragontrail glass on top. Out of the box, the device will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will support 4G LTE connectivity.

On the camera front, there is a 8 MP Autofocus camera on the rear that comes with Dual flash and it is accompanied with 2 MP camera on the front for video calling and selfies. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 Quad core processor with a clocking speed of 1.1 GHz and it is coupled with 2GB of RAM. To power the device there is a 2580 mAh battery on the back and comes with sensors like G-sensor, Proximity sensor and Light sensor.

The connectivity option includes, Bluetooth V4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The Pixi Theatre comes with an internal memory of 16 GB which could be extended up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device is One-touch Music integrated with Deezer from Cricket.

This handset from Alcatel will be competing against the devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Samsung Galaxy J7, LeEco Le 2, Lenovo Vibe K5 and few other devices which come with similar specifications. As of now, the Alcatel Pixi Theatre will be available via Cricket wireless carrier and nothing is mentioned about the availability.
