The Indian telecommunications company Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (ACT), has announced the launch of its Gigabit broadband connections today here in Hyderabad. The company which is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, had sent out invites for the press conference that was scheduled to take place today here in Hyderabad. Our team was present at the event bringing you some love updates from the conference. The company announced its plans to start Gigabit broadband connection starting with Hyderabad. Interestingly, the connection is priced at 5,999 INR per month which is rather competitive considering the other up and coming competition.
Talking about ACT, it is one of the largest broadband service provider in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secundrabad. They have over 65-percent of market share collectively in these places. The speed provider is known to be the speed pioneer and now holding onto the name, the company has announced this Gigabit connection. In a time where the average internet speeds in India is about 2.5 Mbps, ACT’s 1Gbps launch is indeed going to take it to a whole new level.
Starting off with Hyderabad, ACT Fibernet’s 1 Gbps wired internet service is slated to soon be available in 11 cities. While the list of the cities that will be getting the connection was not confirmed, we expect that it will first make it to some of the metropolitan cities.
