ZTE Blade S7 with 3GB RAM and 13MP Selfie Camera Officially Announced

ZTE is on the rise this year with more focus on the foreign countries, but that doesn’t leave out the company to launch devices in its home country. The latest device to join the ZTE family is the ZTE Blade S7, which is the successor for last year’s Blade S6. After launching some high-end devices under the Axon and Nubia series, the company had now officially announced the device in China. The device looks more like iPhone 5 with Aluminum frame and 2.5D Gorilla Glass on front and rear of the device.

“We are delighted to confirm the availability of the ZTE Blade S7, a device packed with a range of fun and innovative features. ZTE is constantly listening to its customers and we wanted to deliver a device that takes the selfie experience to a new level,” said Jacky Zhang, CEO of Asia Pacific, ZTE Mobile Devices. It comes with the same 5-inch display as on Blade S6 but with Full HD resolution.

It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. The device also has 32GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB. The USP of the device is its cameras; it has 13MP camera on front and back of the device. The rear camera is accompanied by dual tone LED flash and a laser auto focus. On the front, it comes with Phase Detection Auto Focus, an LED flash, and a Panorama mode for wider selfies.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MiFavor 3.2 UI on top of it. It feels very slim in hand with a thickness of just 7.2mm. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the physical home button which make the device more secure. It also comes with few unique features like unlocking with a specific finger can open the pre-selected app after the device is unlocked. The Blade S7 will be available in the colors – Lemon Green, Rose Gold, Diamond White and Space Gray.

The company hasn’t officially mentioned the price, but the device was listed for $280 on some Chinese online stores. The device will be made available in the selected Asian countries and might also launch in the European markets where the Blade S6 was sold.
