ZTE Blade A2 Plus with 5,000mAh Battery Launched in India for Rs. 11,999

ZTE is one of the very few Chinese smartphone brands to capture decent market share in the Western countries. However, it is the only major Chinese smartphone manufacturer to miss the fastest growing smartphone market, India. A couple of years back, the company launched the 4G compatible smartphone, Blade Qlux 4G priced at Rs. 5,000. In mid-2016, the company also launched two more new smartphones called ZTE Blade V6 (a.k.a Blade D6) and Axon Mini priced at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 23,599 respectively. Today, the company has officially launched its latest smartphone ZTE Blade A2 Plus in the Indian market for Rs. 11,999. It comes in Gold and Silver color options and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting from February 6th.
It sports decent mid-range specifications along with an all-metal body design. The Blade A2 Plus was first launched in China in September. It comes with curved edges on the back that offers a nice grip to hold on to the device. The volume rocker and the power button are placed on the right side of the device. The Blade A2 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor. It includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the MiFavor UI laid on top. For photos and videos, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. While on the front is an 8MP fixed focus camera for selfies. The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear will enhance the security levels of this device. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for making HD voice calls. The 5,000mAh battery on this device will make the device easily last more than a day of mixed usage. Next week, the Taiwanese smartphone maker, Asus will also launch the upgraded Zenfone 3s Max smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery.
The Blade A2 Plus measures 155 x 76.2 x 9.8 mm and weighs 189 grams. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 g/b/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also comes packed with a bunch of sensors including Proximity Sensor, Hall Sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor. Last year, the company announced to bring a total of eight new smartphones to the Indian market in the Q1 2017. While the upcoming Blade A2 Plus smartphone will be first in the list, we will be seeing more ZTE branded smartphones in the coming months.
