ZOPO Hero 1 with MT6735 SoC & 13.2MP Camera Officially Launched in India

Last year ZOPO launched a couple of mid-range devices, ZOPO Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus in India. These devices are priced at Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 14,999 respectively and sports decent specifications. Today the company has announced the ZOPO Hero 1 with a price tag of Rs. 12,000 in India. The design of the device looks similar to the earlier launched devices with the rounded edges on all the four sides.

At this price range, the device sports not so great specifications when compared to its predecessors. It sports a 5-inch IPS display but is limited to just 720p resolution while many other devices at this price range come with a 1080p display. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz ad coupled with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized UI laid on top. It has a 13.2MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash while on the front is a 5MP sensor for capturing selfies and video calls. The Hero 1 is a dual SIM device that supports 4G LTE along with other basic connectivity options. It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery which the claims to give 18 hours of talk time and lasts up to 250 hours on standby.

Unlike most of the Chinese smartphone brands, ZOPO is also focusing on the offline along with online sales. At this price, the LeEco Le 1S is the highly recommended device that includes better hardware in every department than the Hero 1 and also comes with an all metal body. While the availability of the Le 1s is the issue where you need purchase it through flash sales.
