ZOPO has launched a new smartphone called Color X5.5 today in India. Unlike the major Chinese brands, ZOPO isn’t more focused on the Indian smartphone market. We have never seen a ZOPO smartphone comparing with other devices. ZOPO Speed 8 launched at the MWC 2016 is the world’s first smartphone to feature a deca-core processor. While the other Chinese companies are offering high-end specifications at sub Rs. 10,000 smartphones, the ZOPO Color X5.5 with basic specifications is priced at Rs. 11,999. However, the availability of this newly launched device is not limited to just online stores.

It comes with a physical home button integrated with a fingerprint sensor. As the device lacks any other navigation buttons, the single home button can take back to the earlier screen with the single tap and double tap to return home. To open the recent apps, just press and hold for few seconds to open the multitasking menu. ZOPO calls this as One Button Access feature, the recently launched Moto G5 and G5 Plus sports home button with gestures support. On the front is a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D ARC glass laid on top.

Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with Mali T720 GPU. The device includes 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using the MicroSD card slot. There is an 8MP autofocus camera with f/2.8 aperture that can record videos at 1080p resolution. For selfies, the ZOPO Color X5.5 features a 5MP fixed focus camera with the same f/2.8 aperture as seen on the rear camera. Both these cameras are accompanied by single LED flash for better photos in low-light conditions.

It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity any one of the two SIM’s. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with few pre-installed bloatware apps. The device is powered by a 2,500mAh non-removable battery that might not last more than a day of usage. According to the listing, the battery is said to give up to 10 hours of battery life and lasts up to 250 hours standby mode. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

In case, if you want to know the SAR values, it is 0.362W/kg at the head and 0.813W/kg at the body. It measures 155 x 77.8 x 8.7 mm and weighs 166 grams. The device will soon go on sale via retail outlets and online stores. Are you impressed with the specifications of this new Color X5.5 smartphone from ZOPO priced at Rs. 11,999?
