Zen Ultrafone Sonic 1 with Android 5.0, 5-inch HD display launched for Rs. 5999
Zen Mobile is not a very well known name in the smartphone market, but its budget smartphone range keeps slowly expanding. The latest one from the company, is the Ultrafone Sonic 1 smartphone, that has a 5-inch HD display.
The 5-inch HD IPS display of Zen Ultrafone Sonic 1 has a 178-degree wide angle viewing, and under the hood, the device comes with a 64-bit quad-core processor clocking at 1.3 GHz. Along with this, is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot allowing expansion for up to 32GB.
The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and don’t confuse this with the ZenFone series from Asus due to the name, and so you won’t see any custom ROM here. There is a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash on the back, while on the front is a 2-megapixel camera.
It is a Dual SIM phone that comes with 3G connectivity, and there are other standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. There is a 2000 mAh battery packed into the device, and that is said to give about 13 hours of talk time on 3G.
While the spec sheet shows Adreno 306 as GPU, we can say this might be the Qualcomm’s quad-core processor powering the phone, though there is no official info on the same. For those interested to purchase, this still has a good list of specs, but you can purchase it only on eBay, as the device is sold no where else. The device will begin shipping from July 15th.
