YouTube has been receiving a lot of updates over the past few months where the company has added a bunch of new features. On the same lines, the app has now been updated with yet again and this time it brings in a lot of new interesting new features to the table. Yes, Google has just announced that the YouTube App now has a new messaging feature which will let users chat and share videos from within the app.
According to the company, this feature will be available to the users starting today. So hopefully we are expecting that the app will be updated soon to have these new features. Essentially, this new feature will let users chat about the videos which they watch and like. Users can also reply to other with a video, etc. In fact, you can invite other people to watch and share the video as well. So, what we are looking at here is a full-fledged messaging service within the app.
How to Block Non-Family Friendly Videos on the YouTube Kids App
It has been reported that all the videos which one shares, will be grouped under one tab within the mobile app. This will essentially make it a lot easier to see which videos you and friends have shared recently and watch it. Separate groups can also be created, where everyone can share what they like, etc. Having said that, it is worth noting that this new feature will only be available on mobile devices and not the web version of the website.
Accessing this particular feature is also fairly easy. All you have to do is, tap the share button and then select someone from the contact list. Alternatively, you can also share the direct link and add your friends to the chat, where you can discuss the video, etc. We believe this feature will further improve the overall user experience for the users using the app and this is more or less YouTube’s effort to engage more with their platform through the app. With that said, be sure to share your opinion with us by leaving a comment down below.
