Redmi has started this year with the launch of its Redmi Note series – the Note 7 and the Note 7 Pro. While they are considered as the mid-range powerful smartphones packed in a glass body build, which was supposedly the first from Xiaomi had produced in this price bracket – the company is geared up to launch yet Redmi another smartphone this month. Well, the new device from Xiaomi is supposedly the successor to its camera-centric last year released Redmi Y2 – the Redmi Y3.

Xiaomi’s Global VP and India’s Managing director Manu Kumar Jain has been teasing about the upcoming Redmi smartphone on Twitter for quite a while now. Last week, he had taunted the new camera-centric smartphones’ selfie camera suggesting that they have clicked selfies with 32 people indicating the upcoming Redmi Y3 would be featuring a 32MP selfie camera. Its predecessor, the Redmi Y2, featured a 16MP AI-powered selfie shooter.

And today, Manu Kumar Jain had confirmed the official launch date of its new selfie camera smartphone, and it is said to be unveiled on 24th of this month. This happens right next to its rival Realme 3 Pro’s launch, which is scheduled to launch on 22th of this month. The company that has bragged about selling one one million units of Redmi Note 7 series smartphones recently is all set to launch its new Redmi phone the Y3 as well.
The precise specifications of the Redmi Y3 device are yet to be known. However, going by the teasers, we can confirm the Redmi Y3 would be featuring a 32MP Super Selfie camera that will be AI-powered and bigger battery, most likely bigger than 4000mAh battery capacity and today’s teaser had also revealed the notch display similar to what we have seen on the earlier releaser Redmi Note 7 line-up.
