Xiaomi Teases Mi Electric Shaver, Expected to Launch in India Soon

Xiaomi entered the Indian market by launching smartphones. Later the company also started selling mobile phone accessories. Now, the company’s portfolio includes several products ranging from a rollerball pen to 4K smart TVs. While the company is gearing up for the launch of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in India, it also teased to launch a new product under an all-new category. Latest tweet from Xiaomi India hints about the launch of its Mi Electic Shave in India.

While Xiaomi sells several grooming products in China, not many of them are officially launched in the global markets. A few of them can be purchased through Chinese reseller websites like Gearbest and Banggood by a premium. We are expecting the company to launch the basic Mi Portable Electric Shaver which costs just CNY 159 (approx USD 23 / INR 1,600) in China. With this new product, Xiaomi might also disrupt the grooming category.

On the Xiaomi Nepal’s website, the Mi Portable Electric Shaver was listed along with Mi Rotary Electric Shaver. There are also chances that the company might launch both these models in the Indian market. While the Mi Portable Electric Shaver was launched in 2018, the Mi Rotary Electric Shaver came out just last year. It comes with IPX7 certification for water resistance and is currently retailing for just CNY 169 (approx USD 24.5 / INR 1,700 ) in China.

Unlike the Mi Rotary Electric Shaver, the Mi Portable Electric Shaver comes with a USB Type-C port for charging. Unlike other Xiaomi products, there are no smart features in both these products. We might get more details about this new product from Xiaomi in the coming days. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
