Xiaomi is Set to Start Operations in Italy by Opening Mi Home Store in Milan
In early 2017, Xiaomi opened its first ever European Mi Store in Golden Hall of Athens, Greece. Later in October last year, the company entered the Spanish market by opening a Mi Home store in Madrid. More than Greece, Xiaomi now has a full-fledged presence in Spain. The company is also rumored to open the Mi Home store in Barcelona before the MWC 2018 begins. While Xiaomi is one of the hottest smartphone e-brands, it is now more focused on capturing the offline market.
In India, the company has opened at least one Mi Home store in all the major cities. Back in 2017, Xiaomi already revealed its desire to open more than 2000 new Mi Home stores globally in the next three years. Apart from opening Mi Home stores, the company is also fastly expanding its market presence. Based on the social media posts, the company seems to have chosen Italy as its next European market.
Xiaomi has accidentally posted a photo on its global Facebook page saying “Ciao! Italia.” While the post is now deleted, there is also an unverified Xiaomi Italia Facebook page with the similar photo. As of now, a few Xiaomi products are already available on Amazon Italy. In the coming weeks, we might see the company officially launching a bunch of smartphones along with other smart products with an official warranty and dedicated service centers.
Xiaomi products already popular among the European markets, thanks to unofficial Chinese re-sellers like Gearbest and Banggood. As of now, we don’t have much information regarding what products the company will sell in Italy.
