Xiaomi is already selling the Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone in a few markets across Asia and the Middle East. Earlier this year, the company launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro as Redmi Note 5 in China. Now, the company has scheduled a launch event on November 6th. While there is no official confirmation, the company is expected to launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6. Just like its predecessor, the Redmi Note 6 in China will be the same Pro variant that is being sold on Global markets.
We also expect to see a few other products to launch alongside the Redmi Note 6 on the launch day. Talking about the Redmi Note 6, it will be coming with a 6.26-inch display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display will also come with a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection on the top. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 6 will be powered by the same 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform as seen on the Redmi Note 5.
The Redmi Note 6 might come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB & 128GB storage options. While the company made a few changes to the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro cameras, the new Redmi Note 6 devices could be carrying the same set of sensors. There will be a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 20MP + 2MP dual selfies cameras on the front. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and might come with only 5V/2A (10W) power adapter.
It sports rear-facing fingerprint sensor and also offers face unlock. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. As the Redmi Note 6 comes with similar specifications as its predecessor, we don’t expect to see any difference in pricing. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
