Xiaomi is going to launch its latest phablet, Redmi Note 3 in India on March 3rd as shared by the Brand on their official forum page. The Chinese smartphone maker is inviting it’s fans for the launch event happening in New Delhi.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was already launched in China a while back and is already available to purchase in the stores. This is a device that’s long awaited from the consumers in India, since there have been no announcements in the recent times, though it’s confusing why Xiaomi is launching this just after the Mi 5 announcement.

Redmi Note 3 Coming to India

We are at Mobile World Congress for the Mi 5 Smartphone announcement, where you can find all the information around the same while the Note 3 launch is following this major event. Regarding the price, we can speculate it to be around Rs 11000 to Rs 13000 price range but we can only know more once the device is launched.

There are two variants of the Redmi Note 3 that was launched in China, one comes with Helios X10 and the recently launched in China comes with Snapdragon 650 processor. This Qualcomm processor doesn’t really come in the line of SD 615 processor, but instead uses a Hexa-core setup. With a support of LTE cat 7 speed support and VoLTE support, it is a future ready device in terms of connectivity options, as users in Indian would be able to made voice calls over 4G LTE once companies like Reliance launches its Jio services all across India.

Supporting the processor is Adreno 510 GPU and options of 2GB and 3GB RAM, as well as 16GB and 32GB internal storage. Yes, you thought, correct, there would be two variants of the devices, differentiated by RAM and Internal storage, as the processor would be same, the SD 650 Chipset. It would be running on the Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 with special software enhancements.

The camera package is quite powerful as well with 16-megapixel on the rear and 5-megapixel on the front. The rear camera would get support of PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) technology, which offers faster focusing; there is an LED Flash as well. The usual connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB port. All this is powered by a 4050mAh capacity battery, which should last easily for the day despite heavy usage.
