Xiaomi, the Chinese giant, has recently launched a new smartphone in its Redmi Series, i.e., the Redmi Note 3. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. It has 5.5-inch FHD display with 1920×1080 pixels as its resolution. The device is available in two variants in the Indian Market, i.e., 2GB RAM with 16 GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32 GB internal Storage. And the storage on both the variants can be expanded up to 32 GB using an external Micro SD card slot.
The device sports 16MP rear camera with Dual Tone LED flash and 5 MP Selfie Shooter. It is powered by a 4050mAh Li-Ion battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. SIM card insertion is the very first thing that you do when you purchase a new device. The device comes with a non-removable battery hence the SIM card slot is available on the left Edge. To insert a SIM on your device you need to push the SIM ejector pin into the hole and the SIM card tray pops out. To use this on your Redmi Note 3, open the setting and tap on Additional Settings and click on battery option. In the new window, tap on power and click on Battery Saver, now toggle the off button to enable that on your device.

The device comes with Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. There is no information of the device getting the Android Marshmallow update but the brand has mentioned that the device may get the update soon. You can also check that list of the devices that may get the Android M update by the end of the year.
Redmi Note has a 5.5-inch FHD display and you cannot operate the whole screen using on hand. So to use this device using a single hand you need to enable the One-handed mode on your device. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on Additional settings. In the new window, tap on One-Handed mode and toggle the off button adjacent to Ask Before entering One-handed mode to enable the that on your device. This window also come with different screen size options, i.e., 4.5-inch, 4.0-inch and 3.0-inch you need to tap on any of the options depending up on your choice. Now to enter the One-handed mode you need to swipe your finger from home button to back button. A pop-up stating Enter One-handed Mode is displayed on your device, now click on the ok button to continue and the One Handed mode is activated on your device. You need to tap on the darkened area to exit the One-handed Mode on your device.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 comes with plenty of the theme options online. To use them on your device, you need to open the themes application and tap on the theme that you want to use. And then you need to download the theme on your device and click on the Apply button which is available at the bottom of the screen.
Note: The themes can be downloaded on your device if you have connected your device with the Mi Account.
Redmi Note 3 comes with a Fingerprint scanner on its back panel which unlocks your device in less than 0.3 Seconds. To add a fingerprint on your device, open the settings and tap on Lock Screen & Fingerprint reader. In the new window, tap on Screen lock & Fingerprint in the Screen Lock section and enter the password if you have set earlier on your device. At max you can add 5 fingerprints on your device.
Child Mode application is used to lock the applications which you don’t want your children to open when you give your phone for them to use. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on child mode and toggle the button adjacent to the child mode to enable that on your device. Once you enable you need to set the password for your device. Once you set the password select the apps that you want them to appear on the screen and rest of the applications will be hidden in child mode.
If you want to share huge amount of the data from one smartphone to another smartphone then Mi Mover is the best Data transfer application. This application is same as that of the Share it Application where the Data can be transferred by created a hotspot between the two devices. This option is applicable for all the other devices including the Xiaomi devices. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on Additional Settings. In the new window, head over to the bottom of the screen and tap on Mi Mover. You will find two options, I’m a recipient and I’m a sender, Tap on any of the option depending up on your usage and click on the files to transfer. Before you select the files you need to pair the devices by scanning the QR generated by the device. Once the devices are paired then you can easily share the data on your device.
Lite Mode is same as that of the Easy Mode available on the Samsung devices. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on Lite Mode option which is just above the Child Mode option. Now, toggle the off button adjacent to the Lite Mode to enable that on your device. When you enable it on your device. A pop-up stating reboot phone appears on the screen. Now tap on the OK button to apply the lite mode on your device.
