Xiaomi Redmi Go (Android Go) Smartphone Spotted Online

After the separation, Redmi launched its first smartphone recently which was the Redmi Note 7, that is a budget-friendly device. Now a new Redmi Go device has been spotted online on the NBTC certification website in Thailand, confirming its launch. The upcoming device will be Redmi’s first Android Go device and according to few reports it is also planning to launch Redmi Note 7 Pro soon.

A smartphone with the model number M1903C3GG has received the NBTC certification in Thailand and this indicates that the handset should be launching very soon. The device will be coming with the Redmi Go moniker since it has split from its parental company recently and we can expect more devices to come soon from Redmi. This Android Go smartphone was previously certified by EEC, IMDA, SIRIM certifications agencies and was also spotted on FCC.

Considering the previous leaks, the Redmi Go Smartphone is likely to come with a 5.9-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will also come with an enhanced Google Go, Gboard, Giles, Go, Google Assistant Go and Maps Go along with Android Pie Go. Since the handset it a going to be a budget-friendly device, it could be equipped with just 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage and might be limited with a single 5MP camera on the rear.

The certification website does not reveal much about the device but we can expect more leaks to be coming in the next few days. Moreover, since India is one of the major markets for Xiaomi, we can expect this upcoming device will be available in the Indian market also. The device could be priced less than the entry-level Redmi 6A in the country which is currently priced at Rs. 5,999. Are you planning to get this device?
