The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is about to launch the new phablet under the Mi Note series. After the release of Mi 4s, the Redmi Note 3, and the flagship Mi 5, information about the high-end Phablet, Mi Note 2, have started to surface. The CEO Jin Lin revealed that the company will release a new high-end device in July. Rumors suggest that this high-end device is nothing but the Mi Note 2. The new Mi Note 2 will be the successor to the initially launched Mi Note, which was launched back in January 2015.
Xiaomi reportedly has two versions of the new Mi Note model. The standard variant and the Pro variant with powerful specifications. Talking about the standard option, the device is said to feature the Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM and a 32GB onboard storage which is very similar to other flagships in 2016. The other powerful variant dubbed as the Mi Note 2 Edge, is said to feature a Snapdragon 821 processor, which is essentially a higher clocked version of the Snapdragon 820 processor.
It also includes 6GB of RAM on the lines of other flagship smartphones launching these days. The device is also said to have a massive 256GB onboard storage. Reports claim that the Mi Note 2 Edge variant is going to feature a dual camera system like the one seen on the LG G5 and the Huawei P9. Several sources also report that the manufacturer might feature a curved edge display as seen on the Galaxy S7 Edge recently. All these are just rumors, and we do not have any official confirmation on these details.
Other than smartphones, the Chinese manufacturer is also said to unveil it’s new Notebook in July with a 12.5 –inch display. This is said to be an ultra-thin portable laptop and will compete with Apple’s MacBook range with a full metal uni-body construction. It will be interesting to see what the company has in store for us other than smartphones. Xiaomi is also going to launch the Mi Max in India on 30th June. Stay tuned for more details with us, as we will be covering all the new announcements from the manufacturer.
