Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Starts going for Sale in China with SD845



Just a few days back, we have seen Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3 smartphone was announced which is the successor of the Mi Mix 2. It was marketed as the first smartphone to feature a magnetic slider design with full-screen display and now the handset is officially available via Xiaomi’s online store and also Mi Home stores in China. The device will be available in four different storage variant are priced accordingly.

The base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at 3,299 Yuan (approx Rs. 35,000, $474) while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at 3,599 Yuan (approx Rs. 38,000, $518). There is also a 8GB + 256GB storage variant which costs 3,999 Yuan (approx Rs.42,000, $575). The smartphone will be available only in Black color for now, even though it was announced in Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue color variant. Moreover, there is also a 10GB RAM along with 256GB of storage which will be costing 4,999 Yuan (approx Rs. 53,000, $719) but this is not for sale yet.

Earlier: After one year, from the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the company has finally launched its latest flagship device Mi Mix 3 after several leaks. The new device comes with a sliding camera and the trending notch has been missing on this handset since the sliding design will allow the device to keep the high screen to body ratio. The handset comes with 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolutions with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and the company claims it as 93.4 percent screen to body ratio.

On the rear, we can find the 12MP + 12MP camera setup with one being the main camera and other is a telephoto lens. These come with f/1.8 aperture size and f/2.4 respectively with 1.4-micron pixels and 1.0-micron pixels. Moreover, when you pop up the camera slider, you can find 24MP + 2MP camera sensors with high-resolution daytime images and also includes many other features. The uses can also select one sound effect while opening the slider from the multiple options provided. The rear camera uses IMX363 sensor and is capable of recording 960fps slow-mo videos.

The handset will be powered with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and will have up to 10GB of RAM and will also support 10-watt wireless charging with dual frequency GPS. The Mi Mix 3 will be avail in Jade Green, Sapphire Blue, and Onyx Black and is priced at 3,299 Yuan (approx Rs. 35,000, $474) for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128 GB model is priced at 3,599 Yuan (approx Rs. 38,000, $518) while the 8GB + 256GB is available for 3,999 Yuan (approx Rs. 38,000, $518).

The top end 10GB RAM model is a “Forbidden City” special edition which comes with 256GB of onboard storage and is priced at 4,999 Yuan (approx Rs. 52,800, $720). The pricing for other markets has not been mentioned yet and it should be announced soon. Moreover, a 5G version of the smartphone is scheduled to be released in Europe next year.

The Mi Mix 2 was launched with 5.99-inch 1080 x 2160 pixels display and there was a 3400 mAh battery on the back to power the device. Under the hood, the handset was equipped with Snapdragon 835 SoC and the top end model came with 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. There was a single 12MP rear-facing camera with Dual LED dual-tone flash and was accompanied by a 5MP front facing camera.
