Xiaomi, the Chinese manufacturer of smartphones, has announced a new handset ahead of their flagship Mi 5 launch event. It’s the Mi 4s, an upgraded version of the Mi 4 handset that was company’s flagship last year. This is quite a surprising move from the brand, which no one could have speculated. The Mi 4s comes with a much-needed fingerprint sensor.

The Mi 4s is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor, a Hexa-core chipset clocking at 2.5GHz. It will be accompanied by a 3GB of RAM and will only come with 64GB internal storage and no expansion slot. It will also support 4G LTE connectivity, which was absent from the original Mi 4 handset, although, company did introduced a 4G LTE variant. The device will be fueled by a larger 3260 mAh capacity battery.

It will have the similar display and camera package, for a fact; a 5-inch Full HD display and 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear. This surprising handset from Xiaomi looks quite stunning with its metal glass body construction. The device is priced at 1699 Yuan, which approximately converts to $260/ INR 17900. We expect this device to be showcased at the MWC launch event, where company is going to launch the Mi 5 as well.

This was revealed at the event hosted in Beijing, China. Expect some more revealation as the event continues. Stay Tuned in for updates.
