The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is expected to launch the third iteration of the highly popular Mi Band. While we don’t have any solid info this product yet, it looks like it will happen very soon. However, if you are in the market for a new fitness tracker/ smartwatch duo, then you might want to check out Xiaomi’s crowdsourcing platform. Yes, a new product has been listed in Xiaomi’s crowdsourcing platform called the Weloop Hey 3S smartwatch.

Right out of the bag when you first take a look at it, you will realize how it closely resembles the design of the Apple Watch Nike Edition. It has a very similar design, and even the watch band looks similar. The watch has an ultra-light weight body weighing in just at about 38grams. Despite that, it has a powerful battery inside which the company claims can last upto bout 30 days. Now, this is a bold claim and we have to test it out to know if this is actually true.

Talking about the hardware, it has a 1.28-inch LCD which will show you all the necessary info on the screen. It also has other GPS + GLONASS binary positioning. The watch is capable of recording a ton of metrics heart rate, pulse, and during jogging, pace and laps covered, and even mileage covered during bike riding, speed and the heart rate during the riding activity. On top of all this, it also looks like it can track the intensity of your workouts. It is worth noting that even most of the other high-end watches don’t track all this info.

The Hey 3S watch connects your phone via Bluetooth 4.2 and the data is all tracked in the app. And since the watch is more like a smartwatch than just a fitness tracker, it also shows calls notifications, message alerts, calendar reminders, etc. The watch is also can also be worn for swimming, etc. as it is waterproof for upto 50 meters. Well, if you are interested in this device then you can find it on the company’s crowdsourcing website Mi Home. The watch is listed there for 539 Yuan which roughly translates to about 5,000 INR.

We are not sure if this will ever make it to India, however, if it does, then it will be in and around the same price. Having said that, be sure to let us know what do you think about this.
