We have already seen Xiaomi introducing different products other than smartphones. They have already launched an Air Purifier, Rice Cooker and electric bicycle, etc. Now on the same lines, they have launched yet another product which is unique and new in the market.

Today the company introduced a compact mosquito repellent in China under the Mi Ecosystem, which is also known as MIJIA. Well, yeah you heard it right. It is a mosquito repellent which can be taken anywhere with you. The best part about the device is that it has a micro USB slot, and it can be powered using power banks. This can be useful to take it outdoors when you are on the move. Just plug it in and you are ready to go. No need to worry about power supply.

And putting it in your bag and taking it outdoors is not going to be an issue as it is very compact measuring just 46.8mm x 20.5mm and weighs just 25 grams. According to the company, a powerful 10,000mAh power bank can power it for up to 15.7 hours continuously and with a 20,000mAh power bank, it lasts up to 28.2 hours. It is as simple as twisting the device 90-degrees and placing the mat inside. Once the mat is in place, connect the connector and indicator light will glow and it ill start working.

The device uses a PTC Low-voltage thermostat and it is also dust-proof. It is priced at 29 yuan (US$ 4 / Rs. 290 approx.) and is available for sale in China. This device may or may not make it to the Indian market, so we have to wait and see if the company decides to launch it outside of China so that we can expect it to make it to India. Stay tuned for more information on this.
