Lately, we are seeing amazing products from Xiaomi and its subsidiaries in China. All though many of them are not sold outside of China, we can still buy through the Chinese resellers. MITU is one of the sub-brand of Xiaomi and the company has been selling kids-centric smartwatches and tracking devices under this brand. While the Mi Bunny Smartwatch 2 and 2C are currently available in China, now the company came up with the new Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 with several new features.
On the design front, the newly launched Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 looks similar to the Mi Bunny Smartwatch 2. However, the locking mechanism has been changed and it now also sports a camera. There is a 2.5D curved glass on top of the HD AMOLED display. The biggest feature of this new version is the 4G LTE support. While the previously launched MITU-branded location trackers had the SIM card support, the Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 is the first MITU smartwatch to get this support.
Just previous MITU watches, the new Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 also comes with an SOS button. The kids can press the SOS button during an emergency to send a small audio clip along with location information. The camera is now moved from the top of display on to the strap. Compared to the five-fold positioning system on its successor, the new Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 come with the nine-fold positioning system for more accurate location data.
The IPX7 certification also makes the watch water resistant. The strap is made of food grade silicone material which is safe for kids. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Bunny Smartwatch 3 costs 599 Yuan and will be on sale starting tomorrow in China. While this new kids smartwatch will be soon available through Chinese resellers, we don’t think it will work outside of China. We recently tried to use the MITU location tracker in India, but the device was locked to use with Chinese networks.
