From the last couple of days, Xiaomi is teasing to launch a new “i” (i for India) product in India. Today, the company unveiled the new “Made in India” power bank called Mi Power Bank 2i. It comes in 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities. While there aren’t any major differences between the already available 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks from Xiaomi, the new Mi Power Bank 2i will be manufactured in India.
The company is also launching its third manufacturing plant in Noida, India. In the beginning, this new plant has a production capacity of 7 powerbanks per minute. Talking about the pricing, the Mi Power Bank 2i with 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh costs Rs. 799 and Rs. 1,499 in India. Both these new power banks will be initially sold via Mi.com and Mi Home stores. Xiaomi power banks are very popular in India, but most of the time they are listed as out of stock.
With the dedicated manufacturing plant for power bank, we hope the new Mi Power bank 2i will be stock. Talking about the features, both the power banks come with dual USB output and support two-way quick charge. They also include nine layers of circuit chip protection which also improves the charging efficiency. The 20,000mAh variant also supports Quick Charge 3.0 when charging using a single port.
One important thing to note about these power banks is that the 10,000mAh variant has an actual output capacity of 6500mAh and the 20,000mAh variant has 13,000mAh output capacity. While the Mi Power Bank 2i with 10,000mAh capacity comes with Anodized aluminum alloy case, the 20,000mAh variant sports a plastic body (PC + ABS).
