Redmi which is an independent sub-brand of Xiaomi has already launched a few entry-level as well as midrange devices and now it is getting ready to launch its Redmi Y3 smartphone. The same device received Wi-Fi certification last month and now it is also teased by Xiaomi India’s Head Manu Kumar Jain. His tweet revealed many things about the upcoming devices although they were not officially announced.
Manu Kumar tweeted that he has clicked 32 selfies with 32 Xiaomi India colleagues which clearly indicates that the device will be coming with a 32MP selfie snapper while he also quoted saying “Y” am I taking so many selfies which reveals it to be a Y series device. According to the last month’s certification, the smartphone will be running MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie operating system.
Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing has also mentioned that a Redmi smartphone will be sporting a 32MP selfie camera and the same was mentioned on his Weibo account. No other details about the device are known as of now and we should be waiting a few more days to get more details about it. Possible the Redmi Y3 could be launched in India by end of this month and we should be getting more leaks of the same in the new few days.
Recently Redmi also launched its Redmi 7 with Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box with MIUI and was powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC and we can expect the upcoming Redmi device to come with an advanced processor.
