The British Multinational Telecommunications company, Vodafone is all set to launch a new smartphone called the Smart Platinum 7. It’s a near flagship tier smartphone by the company and looks very promising around the price range. It comes with all the bells and whistles that you’d expect from a major manufacturer like Samsung, HTC, etc with a price point that is not so similar to those. The smartphone packs a beautiful 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which is wrapped in an attractive blend of Aluminum and glass.
The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 chipset alongside a 3GB of RAM. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. On the camera front, it sports a 16MP rear-facing shooter with a dual-tone flash and an 8MP front facing camera for selfies, with a dedicated shutter button on the edge. It comes with a 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card upto a 128GB. The internals are powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which supports quick charge 3.0 and it’ll take you straight from 0-50% with just 30 minutes of charging.
Other standout features include front-facing stereo speakers and a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. And adding to that list, the device comes with a free virtual reality headset similar to that of Samsung Gear VR. This device is priced at about £300 if you buy it up front on Pay-As-You-Go which is definitely worth the price for all it’s rich specification. Alternatively, contracts start at £28 a month and include 1GB of network data in the UK and half a gig of inclusive roaming data. And obviously, you get the VR headset as well for that price.
This new smartphone is all set to hit the markets on 20th June. The company says the launch of this device is the celebration of their 10 year anniversary of making their own devices.
