Vivo Z5 to be Announced on July 31 with in-display fingerprint sensor

Vivo is getting ready to announce its Z5 smartphone in China on 31st of July and the latest official image confirms waterdrop notch display of the device along with a triple rear cameras setup on the rear. The device was spotted on TENNA website recently with the model number V1921A which also revealed complete specifications of the smartphone. The handset will be available in Black and Gold color options and the pricing should be known when the device goes official.

Vivo confirmed the launch date of the device on its official Weibo account and according to the earlier TENNA listing the handset will be coming with a 6.38-inch 2340  × 1080 pixels (Full HD+) AMOLED screen. Under the hood, the handset will be powered with an Octa-Core Snapdragon 712 10nm Mobile Platform (Dual 2.3GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) coupled with Adreno 616 GPU.

There will be a 6GB RAM option along with 64GB of storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of onboard storage which could be extended further via microSD card slot. The handset measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and weighs 189.6 grams. Furthermore, it will come out of the box with Android 9 Pie operating system with the companies own Funtouch OS 9 on top. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor on the device to enhance the security levels.

Talking about the cameras, there is a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48-megapixel main camera sensor along with a 2MP secondary camera and a third 8MP sensor. For selfies there is a 32MP camera with f/2.0 aperture size and it will also capture 8MP binned photos. It will also be coming with AI facial unclogging system along with many other features. The pricing along with the availability should be known on 31st of July when the device goes official.
