Update — A couple of days back, we have seen the leaked teaser videos of the Vivo Z1 Pro smartphone. The “notify me” of the device now went live on the company’s company official website revealing the complete first look of the device. Vivo now officially confirms the Vivo Z1 Pro to sport triple camera setup on the rear and an in-display selfie camera on the front. It is also mentioned to come with a Snapdragon 700 series chipset and offers up to 21 days of standby time. The device will be exclusively sold through Flipkart and Vivo’s online store.

Earlier (June 11, 2018) — Vivo has been teasing about the new Z-series smartphone launch in India. While everyone expected the first Z-series smartphone to be the Vivo Z5x which was launched just last month in China, the company is instead launching the Vivo Z1 Pro smartphone. However, the leaked teaser videos revealed the Vivo Z1 Pro to look exactly the same as China’s Vivo Z5x. It comes with a punch-hole display on the front featuring an in-display camera for selfies.

On the rear, the device sports triple camera setup along with a fingerprint scanner. Just like the Vivo Z5x, the Vivo Z1 Pro showcased in the video comes in a gradient finish Aurora color. While there is no official confirmation, we are guessing the Vivo Z1 Pro is just a rebranded Vivo Z5x for the Indian market. Just like the other Vivo smartphones, the Vivo Z1 Pro also sports glossy finish polycarbonate body with curved edges.

The Vivo Z5x launched in China came with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.77% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it features 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 flash storage. On the rear, it sports a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

The in-display camera on the front features a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based FunTouch OS 9.0 out of the box. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. With such a large battery, it measures 162.39 x 77.33 x 8.85 mm and weighs 204.1 grams.
